Among the many 'there wasn't too much for them' characters is Davos, who still did just about enough this season by virtue of being, well, himself. Davos is ultimately a supporting character there to provide a bit of wisdom and humour, and he continued to do both in Season 8.

He's a figure that it's impossible not to like, and he gets a few nice beats as the season goes along, especially with some excellent quips in the finale, and Master of Ships is a fitting endpoint. It's just a shame there wasn't more of it.
