Game Of Thrones Season 8: Ranking Every Character Worst To Best
8. Sandor Clegane
Like his brother, Sandor's actions in the eighth season will mostly be remembered for the show delivering Cleganebowl. He certainly does his part in that, fighting his brother with every fibre of his being, and fully unleashing all of the anger he's had in him almost his whole life, before sending them both to their fiery, fitting end.
But it's the much smaller moments before then that push the Hound so high. It's in his reunions with Arya, where we once again see that dynamite dynamic, and his relationship with Sansa too. His becoming something of a parental figure to the Starks is as sweet as is it surprising, and makes it all the more poignant when he reflects on what he is and why Arya shouldn't become like him, and she responds by being the first person to call him by his name. He was as funny and amusingly pissed off as ever, but with a much deeper undercurrent of sadness this time around.
