Game Of Thrones Season 8: Ranking Every Character Worst To Best

7. Theon Greyjoy

Game of Thrones Theon
HBO

Theon Greyjoy has had one of the best arcs on the whole show, and it comes to a stellar conclusion in Game of Thrones Season 8.

He kicks it off by saving Yara from Euron, making amends for when he fled and allowed her to be taken captive in Season 7. From there, he's off to Winterfell: he's already made good with Jon and Sansa, but there's one last Stark he needs to repay - the one who was at home when he took it, Bran.

Theon at Winterfell is an excellent endpoint: he chooses to protect Bran, the person he once pretended to kill and forced from his home, and does so in the heart of Winterfell. He goes out fighting, but is personally killed by the Night King, and gets to hear that he is a good man. He dies a Greyjoy, but also very much a Stark as well, summed up by that extremely emotional farewell Sansa gives him.
