10. Fiery Winterfell Action
Next up we're plunged right into the Battle of Winterfell, which is the action set piece we've heard so much about. It's the one that took 55 nights to shoot the exterior scenes, and is longer than Helm's Deep.
It's difficult to make out what's going on completely, but someone fights on the battlements. It's a little tricky to make out, but the hair and movements suggest it's Brienne, as does the pommel of the sword, which fits with Oathkeeper. Meanwhile, Jaime looks on in anguish at a different moment, and yells what sounds like might be a cry for Bronn. It's exciting to see he makes it to Winterfell, and will be in the heat of the fighting, even if he doesn't have his good hand. As an aside, it'd be VERY cool if Gendry was able to fashion a new hand for Jaime that lets him use a sword with his right hand, and we get too see the best of Jaime in action.
For an even better sense of how tough this is going to be for everyone, though, look no further than this shot of the Hound, bathed in the fire he fears so much. Everything is on the line here, and such fears have to be set aside when you're fighting for the living.
