Season eight is easily the worst Game of Thrones ever put out, and it's not even close. The show's fall from grace is one of the most infamous in the history of TV, and is epitomised by season eight's measly six-episode run delivering one of the least satisfying series endings ever.

However, that doesn't mean that every episode was bad. Four of them were awful, the season opener was fine if unspectacular, but the second episode of the season was actually very strong. Unfortunately, it was made retroactively worse by absolutely nothing happening in the Battle of Winterfell.

'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' was essentially the prelude to the fight between the living and the dead. Characters from all over Westeros came together in Winterfell to share what could have been their last night among the living. It was a sobering episode, and it sent hype for the battle itself through the roof.

The MVP was Tyrion Lannister, who even joked that they may all survive as that's how ridiculous it was, but the episode was named for Brienne. After fighting adversity all of her life, she was finally recognised and knighted by Ser Jaime Lannister in one of the few truly emotional, heart-warming moments of the series. If we could all just collectively agree to forget about everything that happened after this, that would be great.
