5. The Battle Of The Bastards

Ever since Ramsay Bolton took up his quill and invited Jon Snow to "come and see", the gears of war have been clunking ominously onwards towards a major arc-ending battle between the two parties.

The sequence - which looks to be the major thrust of episode 9 - is said to have taken longer to film than any other part of the show, and from what we've seen in the teaser, it's going to be bloody massive. And well... just bloody. If it's even half as good as Hardhome was last season, we're in for a massive treat.

Likelihood: 10/10

You don't need to know it's coming: it's literally the title of the next episode. And even if it ends up being a one-to-one fight between Bolton and Snow, it still counts as a battle.
