Game Of Thrones Theory: 10 Hints Jon Snow Will Become King In The North

2. Battle Of The North

Blackwater. Watchers on the Wall. Hardhome. Game of Thrones is known, among many other things, for its huge battle sequences, with a scale unmatched anywhere else on television. They've continuously outdone themselves, and there are indications that'll be the case again in Season 6. For this we turn to set leaks, which have given a couple of things away, but rather than spoil anything they just whet the appetite for what's to come. Because what's to come sounds absolutely incredible. Ramsay Bolton may have defeated Stannis Baratheon in the Battle of Winterfell, but he's going to have a harder fight on his hands: The Battle of the North. We already know that Ramsay boasts an impressive army - they made swift work of Stannis' forces - but this is going to be something else entirely. How many Northmen will stand against the son of Ned Stark? How many will join him? Well, one of the images that leaked showed a battlefield with three different banners lined up: Stark, Hornwood, and Mormont. The presence of Hornwood is difficult to comment upon, as they haven't had much to do, but House Mormont have been closely involved - supposedly, anyway - with the conspiracy. And then of course there's House Stark, with Jon reportedly being the one to lead them into battle. If we also look at the casting of a new Umber, and Rickon returning, then it makes sense House Umber would be involved as well. With Sansa also in the North, there could be a big Stark reunion about to take place, and an even bigger battle to go with it. Nevermind CleganeBowl, get f***ing hype for this.
