Game Of Thrones Theory: 10 Hints Jon Snow Will Become King In The North

3. Jon's Resurrection

So, yes, Jon Snow is dead. But then again, he's coming back. Obviously HBO and the producers want to keep that suspense and mystery building right up until April 24, but we know it's happening. What we don't know for certain is how, or what'll happen after that. One of the major sticking points of the Grand Northern Conspiracy is that Jon Snow is already a sworn brother of the Night's Watch, meaning he can hold no lands or titles. Robb may hope that legitimising him and naming him heir might be a way around that, but we've already seen Jon reject this chance due to his vows. However, if Jon Snow dies - his Watch is ended - then he'll no longer be a sworn brother. He would not be Lord Commander, indeed he wouldn't really have any place, and the chances are that he wouldn't exactly want to stick around at the Wall, if that's even an option. So he could theoretically come back to life - let's assume it's Melisandre bringing him back, because that's what seems the most likely option - and then the Northern Lords can break the news of the will to him. He can finally become Jon Stark without breaking vows, and doing this would give him a chance to save Winterfell and the North, something that would surely mean a lot to him, and defeat the Boltons, who have inflicted pain and suffering on many people he cares about, not least Robb, Catelyn, and Sansa.
