2. Daenerys Would've Been Closely Monitored

Daenerys had Robert Baratheon on edge to say the least. He wildly hated the Targaryens, and would've killed the girl himself if he'd been able to get across the Narrow Sea. But after he died, and had Ned survived, the situation wouldn't have been as gung-ho. Dany was a threat to the Starks, and the frosty relationship was mutual, but I still think had Ned survived there would've been a far more diplomatic discussion about her future as opposed to all-out war. Of course, Daenerys could've rejected any chance of peace between the houses, but there was still a glimmer of hope that a discovery in the form of another Targaryen could've reconciled differences between the Starks and Dany...
