Game Of Thrones: 10 Characters We Didn't Want To Like

9. Yara Greyjoy

When it comes to first impressions, Yara Greyjoy doesn't fare much better than Catelyn. Although there was nothing wrong with her scheme to get the measure of long-lost Theon by posing as a commoner, the fact that she knowingly allowed her brother to grope her was enough to find her a bit...well, icky. Theon certainly wasn't happy with the revelation, and while he wasn't exactly a fan favorite even before he betrayed Robb, it was difficult not to feel for him as his sister demonstrated herself superior in every way that is essential to the Ironborn way of life. Her smugness all but radiated off of the screen. After her initial appearance, however, it became apparent that Yara actually did have the right to some of her arrogance. Far more strategically inclined than the misguided Theon, her arguments as to why it would be foolish to try to hold Winterfell were refreshingly intelligent coming from a Greyjoy. Then, when she and her father later received rather conclusive evidence of Theon's castration at the hands of Ramsay Snow, she defied her father's order to let Theon rot and instead resolved to take a host of men to rescue her mutilated brother from the Bastard of the Dreadfort. And she doesn't even particularly like Theon.
