Game Of Thrones: 10 Most Disgusting Moments

5. Joffrey's Death

The climax of the second episode of season four was a punch-the-air moment for many Game Of Thrones fans. The despicable King Joffrey finally met his end after being poisoned at his wedding to Margaery Tyrell, later dubbed the Purple Wedding by fans. After taking a sip of wine, he begins to retch and cough up blood, eventually slipping away with his eyes bulging and his skin an unpleasant purple hue. With his last breath, he points a finger at Tyrion Lannister, incriminating his uncle for the murder. Whilst it wasn't a gory moment in the traditional sense, Jack Gleeson's acting and some terrific make-up work made the death of King Joffrey genuinely uncomfortable viewing. The man who had been a feared and ruthless ruler was suddenly a pathetic child dying in the arms of his mother, with Lena Headey also giving a standout display. Joffrey was Game Of Thrones' most memorable character so far and he went out in a disgusting blaze of glory.
