Game Of Thrones: 10 Things We Learned From "The Children"

2. Arya Heads To Braavos

After obtaining a horse, Arya finds a wharf with many ships docked. She finds a captain and asks him if he€™ll take her to the Wall, but he says that there€™s nothing there but €œice, war and pirates.€ She attempts to bargain, but he explains that he€™s going home to Braavos. Remembering what Jaqen H€™ghar told her to do if she ever encountered a Braavosi, she shows her iron coin to the captain and says, €œValar morghulis.€ The captain, though surprised she has the coin, responds, €œValar dohaeris,€ and gives her a cabin on his ship. As the ship sails away, Arya takes one last look at Westeros before heading to the bow of the ship to look towards her destination: the free city of Braavos. There€™s nothing left in Westeros for Arya. Most of her family is dead, and until now her only option was to head North to find Jon. However, life works in mysterious ways. Seeing potential in her, Jaqen knew that coin would come in handy for her one day if she ever want to go to Braavos. That day has now come. It€™s unclear what awaits Arya in the Free City, although if she follows the same path that Jaqen did, perhaps becoming a Faceless Man is somewhere in her future.
