Game Of Thrones: 10 Things We Learned From "Oathkeeper"

5. Margaery€™s Putting The Moves On Tommen

Taking her grandmother€™s advice to heart, Margarey sneaks into Tommen€™s room that night. Rather than repeat her grandmother€™s plan of attack, she sticks to talking with the future king. Pointing out that people in arranged marriages never meet before the wedding, she recommends they get to know each other. Though confused, Tommen agrees and says he won€™t tell his mother. After meeting Tommen€™s cat and commenting on how dissimilar he is Joffrey, Margaery asks if she can see him again. After this encounter, Tommen is totally down for another visit. Before leaving, she reminds him to keep their meeting a secret. This was one of the...weirder scenes in this episode. Tommen may be older than he is in the books, but he€™s still a young boy. Thankfully nothing creepy happened, but it was still weird watching Margaery manipulate Tommen. A couple more sessions with him, and she€™ll have him wrapped around her finger. It€™s irrelevant whether she could eventually like him one day - this is purely for survival, and Margarey wants to make sure she holds the power when she takes the throne, not Cersei. The young Tyrell is getting better and better at playing the game of thrones.
