Game Of Thrones: 10 Things We Learned From "Oathkeeper"
3. Crasters Keep Is Worse For Wear
Speaking of which, how is the old wildling homestead theses days? It turns out its a hellhole. Led by instigator of the mutiny Karl, the men mostly spend their time drinking (Karl turned Commander Mormonts skull into his personal goblet), eating and raping Crasters daughters. Karl, after drunkenly boasting of boasting of his legendary exploits in Kings Landing, orders Rast to feed the beast outside the house, which turns out to be Jon Snows direwolf Ghost. Before Rast can leave, one of the women brings in a baby: the last son of Craster. Karl is ready to kill it, but the woman insists that the baby is meant to be a gift to the gods. On Karls orders, Rast drops the infant on a patch of ground in the forest. On his way back, Rast taunts Ghost in his cage by urinating in front of him, but a wind whips up that immediately freezes the liquid on the ground. Realizing the White Walkers are near, Rast hightails it out of there. Craster was a horrible human being, but theres no denying that the mutineers are treating the women much worse than the wildling did. Other than making sure the White Walkers dont kill them, Karl and the others dont answer to anyone, and theyre flaunting their power in the worst way possible. Forget taking them out to make sure they dont blab to Mance Rayder, Jon and his men need to eliminate the mutineers purely for the sake of decency. Also, what are the chances HBO will start selling skull goblets now?
