Game Of Thrones: 10 Things We Learned From “Two Swords”

9. Jaime And Cersei Are Having Relationship Problems

Well, he may be on the outs with his father, but at least Jaime can turn to Cersei, right? Wrong! After being fitted with a gold hand to cover up that stump of his, Jaime asks Cersei if she€™s been drinking more often. She says it€™s because of recent events (Jaime€™s disappearance, Robert Bartheon€™s death, her daughter Myrcella being shipped away, the Battle of Blackwater, Joffrey marrying Margarey and her being forced to marry Loras). Jaime tells her that Tywin disowned him and she questions his decision to stay in the Kingsguard. When Jaime tells her it€™s so he can be closer to her, she spurns his advances, telling him that he waited too long to come back. Despite being the Queen Regent, Cersei doesn€™t have many people to rely on. Servants and knights, sure, but no one she can really trust. Jaime was one of the few people she cared about, and for him to have disappeared and be gone for so long hurt her. Despite being back together, those two won€™t have the same relationship ever again. The days of the brother/sister love sessions are fading away.
