Game Of Thrones: 4 Great Parodies To Watch Before Season 4

2. The South Park Trilogy

Got1 Whilst some animated comedies have dropped drastically in quality over the years (here's looking at you, Family Guy and The Simpsons, even if the latter did have the aforementioned excellent title sequence parody), South Park has gone from strength to strength since it ceased predominantly focusing on toilet humour and started making almost every episode a scathing satire many years ago. Given the widespread popularity of Game of Thrones, it was an obvious target for Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who opted to pay homage to it/rip it to pieces in three episodes of the show's most recent season. In said episodes, core characters Cartman, Kyle, Stan and Kenny differ in opinion on whether or not to purchase the Playstation 4 or the Xbox One in the upcoming Black Friday sale at their local mall, where all items will be reduced by 95% for the first handful of people inside. Both the Xbox camp, led by Cartman, and the Playstation camp, led by Stan, solicit support in their attempts to be the first people inside, with the likes of Bill Gates and A Song Of Ice And Fire scribe George R.R. Martin getting involved as betrayals ensue, a 'Red Robin Wedding' takes place, incestuous newsreaders report on events and Stan's father Randy becomes the head of security at the mall, which stands in for the Wall as zombie-like crowds begin to amass outside it before the event, seeking items such as the darkly hilarious 'Stop Touching Me Elmo' toy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwNyzjjkWzo Perhaps the funniest moments are Cartman's repeated talks of backstabbing, as he walks around a Kings Landing-esque garden with other characters and is frequently interrupted (and engaged in a war of words) by the garden's owner, who wants him to stop trespassing on his land. Also humorously ridiculed, however, is Martin, who is portrayed as a severe procrastinator (the pizzas are always 'coming', but never arrive, much like the dragons!) with a severe male genitalia obsession, as the following (safe for work) video shows. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mmcu-09SHY Try as you might, you won't get that song out of your head any time soon.
