Game Of Thrones: 5 Winners & 5 Losers In 'Oathkeeper'
4. Karl Tanner
The leader of the Nights Watch mutineers probably never expected to last for very long as the new lord of Crasters Keep. We get the impression he was just sick of following orders and saw an opportunity to have a bit of fun before White Walkers or Wildlings killed them all. Its safe to assume that even he was aware that somebody with an army would eventually come knocking on Crasters door. What he probably never expected was to find himself in possession of three highborn hostages, one of whom is technically the King of the North!
Whether theyre aware of this or not is moot, however, as a regular highborn hostage is valuable enough in their circumstances, particularly when one of them happens to also be the brother of one of their enemies, a fact they definitely do know. How Tanner uses his hostages in the coming episodes will prove whether or not he can turn a lucky victory into a winning streak.
This development also raises another intriguing question: are we going to get a long overdue Stark reunion? With Jon on his way to Crasters Keep, how is this delicate chance going to be handled? Will they actually meet, or will Bran make his own escape before Jon arrives? Dont forget that a similar reunion is possible for the Stark girls as well: Arya and Sansa are at this point both heading to the Eyrie.
