Game Of Thrones Season 4: 8 Appetising Moments From The Secrets Trailer

6. 00:27 €“ Jon Snow's World Is Shattered

Whilst Jon Snow has been off playing with Wildlings and breaking numerous vows, half of his (surviving) family has been savagely murdered. No reminders needed of that scene. When father Ned lost his head in Season 1, Jon made a difficult choice to hold to his duty and remain on the Wall with the Night's Watch, rather then join brother Robb's war against the Lannisters. That was one thing, but now he must be really peeved! On top of all that, the Night's Watch is now without a proper leader, Lord Commander Mormont having been murdered by his own men during the fight at Craster's Keep. So now Jon faces the same dilemma as he did before, only this time with bigger circumstances and consequences on either side. He can run south to try and save/avenge what's left of his family, or he can stay at Castle Black and help a desperately crippled Night's Watch defend the Seven Kingdoms from the descending army of Wildings €“ not to mention the other horrors of the frozen beyond. Jon's actions and choices this season will have a huge influence later on for the future of the Night's Watch as a whole, as well as political ramifications for the Wildlings and the kings of the South, with their petty wars.
