Game Of Thrones Season 4: 8 Awesome Moments From The Devil Inside Trailer

6. The Starks And The Boltons (00:23-00:27)

A horseman enters a castle carrying the Bolton banner of the Flayed Man. Ramsay receives a shave while explaining: "The Starks have always ruled the North. If they're alive, the country will rally to their side", as we see images of Bran beyond the Wall, Jon patrolling the Wall, and a forlorn Sansa in King's Landing. This is awesome because it raises so many questions: Who is Ramsay talking to? The trailer also shows Roose at this point, but one would assume that he knows this about the Starks already. Why is Ramsay raising this point? Does he consider Jon's return to the Wall a threat? Has he heard about Sansa's marriage to Tyrion Lannister, and is he worried about how this will affect the North? Again, I won't bring up spoilers, but book readers will know that Ramsay has his own reasons for wondering about which Starks could be alive... You can also love this part for its focus on the Starks (and Snow): Bran still on the run, trying to find his three-eyed crow; Jon desperately trying to protect the Wall, Sansa broken-hearted after the news she received of the Red Wedding last season. Ramsay's point reminds us of some of the Starks that are still alive, and could be seen as rallying points for a country newly bereft of its king.
