Game Of Thrones: Season 4 Death Watch (Breaker Of Chains)

10. Hero Of The Week

Tyrion, hero of the week in last week's death watch, made a bold attempt to save his 'loyal squire' Podrick Payne by convincing him to leave King's Landing. Dontos had his one moment of glory, smuggling Sansa out of the city only to meet his tragic end; a death as pathetic as the life he led. Littlefinger is far to manipulative to be the hero; the way he looked at Sansa as they sailed away was a mix of father love and lust and that can never end well. This week, Sam got to play the hero. He realised that Gilly was just one woman amongst a hundred men at Castle Black and that given their backgrounds, his brothers in arms could not be trusted. Noble and virtuous as always he took her and her baby to the sanctuary that was Mole Town. Perhaps it wasn't such a good idea. Again, he tried to protect Gilly by refusing to let her work in the brothels of Mole Town but without him close to her it remains to be seen whether she'll stay safe. Not to mention the band of wildlings marching towards Castle Black. How safe will Gilly be when Styr, Magnar of Thenn comes knocking?
