Game Of Thrones: Season 4 Death Watch (The Lion And The Rose)

10. Hero Of The Week

Last week the Hound was the defender of the innocent and put upon. There was no such obvious choice in this episode. With Ramsay Snow, Roose Bolton, Joffrey and Cersei Lannister all taking centre stage, there wasn't much room for the good guys. Tyrion Lannister certainly tried his best this week. He continued to try and do right by his wife Sansa and the scene where she handed him the cup at Joffrey's wedding was bitter sweet to watch, suggesting that he was finally starting to succeed. Offering to pay 20 gold to each of the humiliated dwarf performers at the wedding and engaging Bronn to help his brother train with his missing hand, there were many bold attempts by Tyrion to do good in this episode. But it was with Shae where he seemed to succeed; offering her a ship away and a house filled with servants in Pentos, all in an effort to save his love from his father and the gallows. Only time will tell if he acted in time.
