10. Areo Hotah - Djimon Hounsou

We're also going to be looking for an Areo Hotah, the man who serves as bodyguard for Prince Dorian. In the novels, he is depicted as Caucasian, but the released casting call makes it seem that they're looking for a black actor to fill the role. Hotah is a physically imposing man, powerfully built and more than a match for any of Doran's enemies. It is mentioned that he fights with a longaxe that has a shaft measuring six feet, so whoever they cast is going to need to be experienced with fight sequences and able to handle heavy weapons. To that end, the choice seems obvious. We nominate Djimon Hounsou, who is one of the very few actors who is just as good in dramatic roles as he is in action roles. He's an immediately commanding presence, standing at 6'2", and he has an impressive resume for this type of role. The only issue might be that his dance card is a bit full at the moment, but we think that he could make time to appear on Game of Thrones, one of the most popular shows on television.
