Games Of Thrones Season 7 Finale: What 'The Dragon And The Wolf' Really Means

3. There's Going To Be A Little Scaly Targaryen Baby

Dany Jon
HBO

After last episode's talk of babies and infertility, this episode doubled down, with Jon questioning the legitimacy of Dany's prophecy (rightly, since it came from an enemy of Dany) and talk of the importance of continued blood-lines, in parallel with the flashback showing Jon's birth once more.

If you didn't pick up on the importance of all of this, the curiously unerotic sex scene between Jon and Dany (which was choreographed more to hide modesty than to show passion) should have confirmed that there's going to be a little Targaryen child (possibly with webbed feet) running around in the near future.

Perhaps that's why Bran decided to wait to let Jon know that he's just boinked his auntie? Because he knows that they need to create the Prince That Was Promised before Jon is potentially turned off by all the talk of incest.

How Jon reacts to that news - which Bran says "he needs to know" - is going to be VERY interesting. So too is his reaction to Bran having known it for a while.

Also, was Tyrion standing outside their chambers listening to them having sex because he is smitten with Dany? Or just because he misses the brothel life?
