Games Of Thrones Season 7 Finale: What 'The Dragon And The Wolf' Really Means

2. The Wall Has Fallen

After all of the living drama was done with, the episode went back to Eastwatch, where the Night King played with his new toy and confirmed that his interaction with Bran did indeed undo the magical protection on the Wall by burning a giant hole in it to let his 100,000 strong army of the dead through.

So, after seven seasons of wandering around rather aimlessly in the frozen North (presumably waiting to get his hands on a dragon or a Bran), the Night King has led his army past the boundary some thought he'd never overcome. The Seven Kingdoms will never be the same again.

This is obviously devastating news for everyone in the South (and particularly at Winterfell, where the battle is likely to take place), but it's also pretty poor news for the surviving Night's Watchmen who will now be cut off from their allies and stranded at Castle Black. Hopefully we'll see them join the fight again, because there's no way Dolorous Edd deserves to just fade away without another appearance.
