Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes is one of the best Marvel animation projects ever, and easily the best iteration of the Avengers on the small screen. From the iconic theme song to the unforgettable characters, Earth's Mightiest Heroes had it all.

The adored series was highly influenced by the comic books, even utilising the original Avengers line up featured in the team's first comic appearance, rather than the lineup from the MCU. It also brought many iconic heroes together, such as Spider-Man, Wolverine, the Fantastic Four and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Characters who were barely known to the general public before the Marvel Cinematic Universe were also given stunning portrayals, such as Black Panther and Ant-Man.

However, Earth's Mightiest Heroes was unfortunately cancelled after only two seasons. While there was still plenty of story left to tell, Marvel decided to create a new Avengers show that was in the same universe as Ultimate Spider-Man, titled Avengers Assemble.

The new series featured a lineup mirroring the movie lineup, and featured many different characters and crossovers much like Earth's Mightiest Heroes. However, Avengers Assemble never met the heights of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, with the characters and storylines feeling bland in comparison to the genius cartoon it replaced.
