Genius Superhero Cartoons REPLACED By Worse Versions

1. Young Justice Replaced By Teen Titans Go!

While Young Justice did make a return, thanks to Greg Weisman and fans of the show banding together to push for a third season after the first two seasons were released on Netflix in early 2016, it does not take away from the fate the show originally received.

Young Justice was pure brilliance, following a team comprised of sidekicks and other young superheroes who wished to step out from the shadow of their mentors and become heroes in their own right.

The brilliant cartoon did an excellent job of shining a light on characters which are often overlooked. Characters such as Superboy, Miss Martian and Aqualad were given a chance to shine away from their mentors, allowing the characters to develop and grow as heroes in their own right. Featuring a young array of characters, themes of classic coming of age stories were also featured, with the development of the characters being showcased through the ageing between seasons. The series was not afraid to showcase serious themes for a children's program, while still managing to remaining lighthearted allowing for a diverse audience of both children and adult viewers.

However, Young Justice was eventually canned and replaced with the lacklustre Teen Titans Go!, which focused on the Teen Titans partaking in wacky adventures.

Teen Titans Go! was criticised from day one, as it kept the voice cast from the original Teen Titans series, making fans assume it was connected to the original series and opening it to constant comparisons with the original series. However, Teen Titans Go! made the characters stereotypical and bland versions of the originals, lacking a cohesive storyline and choosing to instead focus heavily on comedy rather than decent storytelling.

While Teen Titans Go! may be fun for young children, it pales in comparison to the original Teen Titans and it certainly doesn't meet the quality of Young Justice.
