2. The CGI

Regardless of which side of the fence you fall on when it comes to the story, there's no denying that Syfy went all out with production costs in regards to the CGI for Nightflyers. In fact, you'd be forgiven for forgetting that Nightflyers was a Syfy produced show considering their track record when it comes to special effects (see: Dinocroc Vs Supergator). The spaceship looks incredible - both inside and out - and not once do we question the reality of what we see in the trailer.

Perhaps the great effects have something to do with the fact that Nightflyers is a joint production with Netflix. The streaming service giant will be distributing the George R. R. Martin series internationally, so perhaps they forked out some money to ensure that Nightflyers didn't end up looking as bad as Sharknado.
