George R. R. Martin's Nightflyers Trailer Reaction: 3 Ups & 1 Down
1. The Cast Give Great Performances
Much like David Benioff and D.B. Weiss did with Game Of Thrones, the producers of Nightflyers went for lesser-known actors to play the leading roles which appears to have been the right move. Much like we did with Game Of Thrones, we're heading into Nightflyers without any preconceived ideas about the cast, which means that their performances can do all the work for us. And from what we can see in the trailer, they all deliver convincing and compelling performances.
Special shoutout to Sam Strike (who is best known for playing the first iteration of Johnny Carter on BBC soap opera EastEnders) who manages to chill us to our very core with nothing more than a simple facial expression. Strike plays a character named Thale, and we can tell from this short preview that Thale isn't as innocent as he looks on the outside.
