Glee: 10 Episodes EVERY Fan Should Have Seen
4. The Quarterback
The shocking and tragic death of lead star Cory Monteith left Glee in ruins. Both personally and professionally, Finn was a huge part of the show's past, present and future. However, the show-runners handled it in a perfect way with a very fitting tribute for The Quarterback.
The episode begins with a lovely performance of Rent classic "Seasons Of Love" which really sets the scene for the episode. From there, the episode just gets more and more emotional. From Santana's meltdown to Mr Schue's eventual breakdown at the end of the episode, The Quarterback manages to integrate the tragic passing into the world of Glee, and in an incredibly respectful way.
Rachel is absent from the majority of the episode but her appearance in the closing sections of the episode are perfectly placed. She sings "Make You Feel My Love" which is possibly the single best performance in this history of the show. A great story and a great send off for the great Cory Monteith.
