Glee: 5 Likely Character Predictions For The Future

1. Santana Lopez

Santana is making her way to join Kurt and Rachel in New York fairly soon... I am guessing in episode 7 or 8 after she appears in the Grease musical, but to do what? Will Santana apply for Nyada... certainly not. She has already made it clear that she doesn't want a life on Broadway, and I can't really see her getting into the school considering Rachel struggled and or making it on Broadway even if she did. The much more likely explanation for this character is that she will seek a music career as a recording artist while out in New York, perhaps making her way doing odd jobs- acting in commercials or various modeling opportunities that Kurt could secure her with his job at Nyada. Showing Rachel at Nyada trying to reach her goals a more traditional, university based way, and comparing this to Santana trying to become a recording artist in a less traditional way without university would be an interesting parallel and could easily bring back the much loved Santana and Rachel conflict. I do think it is pretty likely that Santana will be forced to move in with Kurt and Rachel, simply for convenience. It would be a lot of trouble having to build Santana a new set and introduce and cast her flat mates when she has a ready made home with Kurt and Rachel. Also, I would love to see at least one musical number with just the three of them dancing around their New York apartment. Though I think the Rachel and Santana conflict isn't over, I do see them mostly being friends as flatmate's, and bonding together to perhaps overcome a bigger threat in the future. Three friends sharing a flat in New York sounds like a great direction for the show. Will she eventually become a recording artist... I think this is fairly likely. How successful, who knows... and we will likely never even see this success. It is much more likely that the Glee creators will just end Santana's story with a hint of her future stardom, rather than show it. I can also imagine in the meantime Santana could easily join a band, either as lead singer, or a girl-group, where she could meet a future love interest. As for Santana and Brittany getting back together, I seriously doubt this. At least I seriously doubt the will end up as an item by the shows end. Bare in mind that Brittany is bisexual, she could fairly easily (and probably will) get together with Sam in future episodes and be perfectly happy and content in this relationship. In Season 5, I don't really see Sam having a big part to play (like Quinn, Puck and Mercedes in Season 4). Brittany is more likely to have a larger role, but maybe Sam and Brittany's relationship will grow so much that the two decide to get married by the series end. It is certainly a possibility. Can I really see Brittany running off to New York to be with Santana, no... but that doesn't mean it isn't going to happen. Plus, no offense to all the Brittana fans out there, but both in terms of personality and appearance, Brit and Sam certainly suit each other more than Santana and Brittany. Santana is smart and therefore will likely end up with a more intelligent woman. I think Santana will miss Brittany though, but by the time she wants to get back with her ex, Brittany will have already moved on and be super happy in her relationship with Sam. AS FOR THE REST: It is very unlikely considering the huge Glee cast at the moment that we will follow any of the other characters in the current New Directions out of the school.Tina is a great character but is continued to be under used. Though she expressed interest last season in applying to Nyada, is this really where the writers are taking this character. I had assumed Tina would be a big part of this season but it doesn't look likely, so unfortunately she will have a small part to play in future seasons. Artie wants to be a director, so it is likely that he will be headed LA way, though he could potentially go to New York. Still, he isn't given enough attention so I doubt the writers will continue his story forward. If the writers decide to move away from McKinley and focus on New York and LA like it was rumored to be doing this season I could see Artie being a bigger character in Season 5, although Ryan loves the new cast members (Marley etc.) and has plans to follow all the new sophomores to Graduation. Mr Schuester appears to be taking a big break from this series, although considering he is headed to D.C, maybe he will share scene with Burt Hummel here. With Mr Schue there are two possibilities really which are all dependent on whether Ryan is desperate to keep him on till the end. If not, he will permanently move to D.C and seek a life in politics so he can make a bigger difference to so many more kids than just in the glee club. If he is staying on, he will likely peruse his lifelong dream of a career on Broadway like he almost got at the end of Season 2 (should have taken it) and will meet up with Rachel, Santana, Kurt and Blaine in New York in future seasons. They should probably just consider relocating Glee to New York in Season 5, cutting back on the characters, and focusing just on these 5 (plus Finn) but Ryan Murphy won't. As for Marley, Jake, Kitty and new character yet to be introduced Ryder, Glee will unlikely last past 7 seasons so we are unlikely to see any of them post McKinley High.
