Good Cop: 10 Reasons It Needs Another Series
1. Ambiguous Ending..?Good Cop ended somewhat ambiguously with a lot of questions still to be answered, namely "does he eventually get Libby back in his life?" and, chiefly, "Does he really get away with murder?" The answer to these two questions in particular were never fully answered. After accidentally killing Smart, we know that Sav is burdened with crippling guilt as it dawns on him that he is no better than any common killer, which leads him to wade into the sea and cry in agony (above) which I guess is in a way a form of punishment in itself, but by the time the show ended, I was left feeling frustrated with the ending. I wanted to know for sure, yes or no, does he get away with the murders, and I felt as though I didn't get any resolution or sense of closure with the series. The way it ended though leaves plenty of room for a second series, and given all the aforementioned examples, I believe it fully warrants one. Here's hoping the BBC comes back with more of Sav in the near future.
