Good Omens - Ranking Every Episode Worst To Best
4. Episode Four - Saturday Morning Funtime
After episode three for the most part focused on Crowley and Aziraphale, episode four shifts focus to the Antichrist. Adam Young is what the story is really about after all, and the war the two main characters are trying to avert is to be kicked off by a single thought from the youngster.
At this point in the series this was a welcome change of pace as there had been relatively little focus on him for such an important character. The start of the episode shows Atlantis resurfacing as Adam had read about the night before. This power is seen throughout the rest of the episode with aliens, underground tunnels, krakens and whales. Everything he wishes to be true comes true. This is important as it has a lot to do with the finale of the series.
As always Crowley and Azuriphale are incredibly entertaining in this episode, (as is Jon Hamm), despite their lesser role. The only downside of this episode is the odd and seemingly out of place exposition about angels dancing on a pin head. It is funny in a strange, Terry Pratchett kind of way, but it does seem unnecessary and doesn't really add anything to the episode or to the overall story.
