One of most curious aspects of the show is how a young Selina Kyle fits into the grand scale of things. Played by newcomer Camren Bicondova, she is a confirmed series regular whose portrayal producers have described as an unpredictable, pickpocketing teenaged orphan. Selina Kyle only makes a brief appearance in the trailer, but it leaves a lot of questions to be answered. She first appears breaking into the grounds of Wayne Manor and glancing upwards sees Bruce stood on the roof, looking like he may jump. The relationship between Bruce and Selina is one of the most complex and compelling stories in Batman; it will certainly be fascinating to see how these two interact with each other at a much younger age. We also get a glimpse of her costume for the first time, which appears to be a modified version of her future catsuit. It has a slightly steampunk feel to it, especially the goggles - a definite homage to the popular mask she currently dons in the comics. There is a vast amount of material available to the producers concerning Catwomans origin. With so many sources to take inspiration from, producers can really do something interesting and refreshing with a character audiences have come to know very well, but it will be a huge shock if they end up going with Selinas darker origin as a prostitute. Selina Kyle is one of the most iconic and popular characters to ever appear in comics and it is important that the producers get her right. Even at such a young age, expectation will be high that Camren delivers. Lets be honest though, she wont be worse than Halle Berry.
