Although Pyg's proven to be one of the most popular recent additions to the mainstream DC Universe, his appearance on Gotham will actually mark the character's first foray into live action.

Rumours of the character leaping into the DCU come Ben Affleck's Batman movie have abounded for some time now, but Gotham deserves credit for taking the initiative and coming up with the goods. Not just because the DCEU is nothing more than a temperamental minefield these days, but because he's also one of the few villains that makes sense in a world without Batman.

Michael Cerveris has the privilege of bringing Pyg to life for the first time in a live action format, and the little that we've seen of him so far has indicated he's up to the task. Pyg is by far the most twisted Bat-villain out there, and for a show as crazy as Gotham, he's going to feel right at home.
