Along with a new spin on some of Batman's rogues gallery in their early years, Gotham also promises some memorable original baddies. In fact, the main villain of the show - and the one whom all the others work under - will be the original creation Fish Mooney, played by Jada Pinkett Smith. From the sounds of it she'll be making up for her ridiculous name by being a total badass; Mooney is a nightclub owner and gang boss in Gotham with "street smarts and almost extra-sensory abilities" ("almost" being the important word, I guess?) Not only does Mooney have the young Penguin working for her, but she'll also have help from her second-in-command, Butch Gilzean - hired to distract from her own silly name - played by Drew Powell, who you might remember from every TV show ever (including Southland!). Smith is quite a get for the show and it'll be cool to see how she makes this entirely new character her own, especially when she's being set up as Jim Gordon's arch rival.
