There is this, though: a lot of what we've learned about Gotham so far has come not only from official statements but also the leaking of an early draft of the show's pilot script. We learned about the relationship between Gordon and his partner, grizzled detective Harvey Bullock (whom Donal Logue is perfectly cast to play), who introduces him to the ways of the GCPD. We learned that the show's first mystery will be who shot Bruce Wayne's parents? We also learned that the show seems pretty obsessed with dropping in references to Batman, despite resolutely insisting it's not a Batman show; that Jim Gordon seems blissfully unaware of what a cesspit Gotham is prior to joining the police, despite having grown up there; that Poison Ivy might also be introduced during the show's run; and that the dialogue runs the gamut from cheesy 40s slang (I have no idea what "skell huggers" are and am afraid to search on Urban Dictionary) to Dick Van Dyke cockney (which hopefully won't be reflected in Sean Pertwee's performances as Alfred).
