Gotham TV Show: 10 Characters Who Must Appear

9. Lucius Fox

To many casual Batman fans, their first glimpse of Lucius Fox was as played so superbly by Morgan Freeman in The Dark Knight Saga, though the character has in fact been around for decades as Bruce Wayne's business manager, helping to provide Bruce with the tools he requires to fight-crime while helping maintain the facade of normalcy that is Wayne Enterprises. Given that Gotham takes place in the wake of the murder of Bruce's parents, it would obviously be far too early to introduce this plot thread, though it certainly wouldn't be premature to have Lucius show up as a hired hand to help handle the business affairs of Wayne Enterprises. How Likely Is It? 6/10. Though we presumably won't be seeing Fox in the first batch of episodes, we can only hope that Lucius will be written in later as a custodian of Bruce's empire, because it really makes a lot of sense, and is one of the easy links to Nolan's universe that wouldn't seem too forced or over-the-top. Plus, much like Ra's, Lucius is considerably older than Bruce, so again, there's no need to fudge ages and facts to fit this new narrative.
