Green Arrow And The Canaries: 7 Things That Must Happen

6. William Joins The Line-Up

In spite of Arrow's best efforts to make it seem otherwise, William Clayton is much more important to the show's overall continuity than his sister ever was. That's not to take away anything from the badass that Mia Smoak is, but it seems like the writers have forgotten that Oliver was a parent long before the adult version of his broody daughter came into his life as it's only now that characters are cracking jokes about 'parent Oliver' being a thing. That being said, they have a chance to remind us just how important William is by also having him play a part in the spin-off.

Every team of superheroes needs a guy or girl in the chair to guide them and while you might not necessarily agree with that statement, it goes without saying that every team of superheroes on The CW needs one. As far as Green Arrow and The Canaries goes, William is perfect for the role.

One of the most underappreciated characters on the show, William shines in short bursts and he adds some much-needed colour to his sister's black-and-white world. And more to the point, Ben Lewis has been a revelation in the role - so with that in mind, it really would be nice to see him continue making us smile here.
