Hannibal: 10 Moments Almost Too Disgusting For TV

7. Justice For The Judge

The ill-fated Judge Davies must have drawn the short straw when he was appointed to preside over Will Graham's murder trial. His fatal error came when Hannibal was put on the stand. Dr.Lecter essentially argued Will's innocence by pointing out what he perceived to be a connection between a recent murder and the murders for which Will stood accused. Judge Davies straight up disagreed and threw out his testimony. Bad move, your honor. The judge is found blindfolded, suspended by chains and holding the classic scales of justice. His head and chest cavity have been hollowed out and gaping holes are seen in their place. On the scales sit his missing brain and heart. The symbolism wasn't lost but the imagery is still unbelievably gruesome.
