Hannibal: 6 Reasons It Should Come Back (And 4 Reasons It Shouldn't)
7. Closure For The Other Characters
While the next chapter in the Will, Hannibal, and Bedelia's saga would undoubtedly be the focal point of a fourth season of Hannibal, the rest of the show's main and supporting characters could greatly benefit from another outing as well.
After all, the season three finale left it incredibly open-ended as to just what happened to everyone. Yes, this adds to the inherent mystique that the finale was trying to convey, but the inevitable fallout would make for some pretty engaging stories.
What consequences will Jack Crawford and Alana Bloom face for their plot to release Hannibal to catch Francis Dolarhyde going so horribly awry? How will this effect Alana's wife, Margot, their son? How are Molly Graham and her son dealing with Will's supposed death? How is Frederick Chilton planning to take revenge on the FBI and/or Freddie Lounds for what happened to him? And speaking of Freddie Lounds, what ever became of her?
All of these questions would be more than enough to help create some stellar subplots for season four and beyond, especially considering that as a result of season three's lack of answers, they practically have a clean slate.
