5. Mason Verger's Revenge

Poor Mason Verger: this demented creep was outplayed by Dr. Lecter, and since then the once rich and powerful man is... well he's still rich and powerful, but now he's paralyzed and has no face. But Mason will not give up so easily. He uses everything at his disposal to go after Hannibal, hoping for vengeance against the doctor that disfigured him. Sadly for him, Hannibal beats him again. Yes, Mason's revenge plot does not go as planned, but it will be fun to watch regardless. After finally tracking Hannibal down, Mason ends up dead. Although different characters killed Mason in the movie and the book Hannibal, their reasoning remained the same; Hannibal convinced them to. The upcoming season is adapting at least some portions of Hannibal, so Mason's attempt at revenge may come sooner rather than later. The only conceivable red flag about this plot is that Michael Pitt is not returning as Mason Verger. Instead, Joe Anderson is taking the role. Luckily, Mason chopped off his own face last season, so at least actor continuity won't be an issue.
