4. Hannibal's Incarceration

Up until now Mads Mikkelsen's Hannibal has been a monster hiding in plain sight, but that will change. Similar to how exciting it was to see Anthony Hopkins play an unsuspected Lecter in the opening of Red Dragon, seeing Mikksen play the imprisoned Lecter with nothing to hide will be truly chilling. However, nobody knows when or how he will be incarcerated. The story of Hannibal's arrest up until the TV show had always been told the same way; Will goes to speak to Lecter about a serial killer, realizes that he is that killer, is nearly disemboweled by Lecter, and then finally backup arrives to apprehend Lecter and save Will. To an extent that occurs on the show, expect for the fact that backup never arrives, Hannibal escapes, and not just Will, but also Jack Crawford, Alana Bloom, and Abigail Hobbs are left for dead. So how will Hannibal end up in the Baltimore Hospital for the Criminally Insane? Will he be arrested by Will in Florence? Will he return to the States? Will Mason's revenge plot tie in with his arrest? Right now there is no definitive answer to that question, which only makes season three that much more exciting.
