Harry Potter TV Show: 13 Changes To The Originals They Should Make

10. Omit Ron's Departure In The Deathly Hallows

Ron abandoning his friends during the Horcrux hunt in The Deathly Hallows never felt earned or logical in the book, and it was a very annoying part of the first Deathly Hallows movie as well

Yes, he was being badly affected by the Horcrux the group were carrying, but it's always been hard to believe that Ron would do that to his friends. After all, his loyalty is a huge part of his character, especially in the books.

In fairness, it seems likely that this crisis was in the books to show Ron overcoming his insecurities - by returning and destroying one of the Horcruxes, which psychologically tormented him before being destroyed - but having him straight up abandoning his best friends wasn't the right way to show it, and this is arguably a part of the book that should be reworked in the TV show.

Having a big fight between the trio without Ron abandoning his friends would work just as well.
