Because Winter and Scorsese wasn't enough talent to bring this to the small-screen, Mick Jagger has also been involved in creating it, just incase there were any doubts about its authenticity or rock credentials. Jagger will serve as an executive producer on the show, but it was also his idea that has led to it being made. He originally told the idea to Scorsese in the 90s, back then planned as a movie, and now a couple of decades later it's finally being realised, only as a TV series, with the Stones frontman telling Rolling Stone: "It was very sprawling. And as TV became more refined and exciting and interesting to make, we decided to do it as a series." The other person to mention in creating this show is Rich Cohen. He may not be as famous as his co-creators but, as a journalist who has worked for Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair, and had works on the New York Times bestsellers list, he's bound to be an important figure in making the show as accurate as possible.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
