HBO's Watchmen TV Show: Everything We Know So Far

Virtually all speculation points towards the notion that Jeremy Irons stars as the one and only Adam Veidt, aka Ozymandias. And what a juicy nugget that is.

What can we say about Ozymandias? His brutal purging of humanity to save humanity is chilling to this very day. He gave us bodies beyond our wildest imaginings. In hindsight, a finger-snap would have been a lot nicer.

Firstly this prospect gives fans a handy time-stamp on the trailer, as he looks significantly older than his buff blonde comic-book counterpart. Perhaps then, this series isn't set in the immediate aftermath, but following a real-time gap, from the events in the 80s.

Secondly, we must consider the context of his brief piece of dialogue: "It's only just begun." Yes, this could mean anything. But on face value it seems that, despite getting his way first time around, his work is not yet done.

So is he operating with, in spite of, or against the masked police department? What implications does his presence have over the narrative of this series? In any case, expect his actions to be less than subtle.
