He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was one of the most popular animated series to debut in the early 1980s, and along with the show, Mattel released a huge army of action figures split into two main groups: the heroes and the villains.
The man in charge of the heroes was none other than He-Man, and he was pitted against Skeletor, but each had their own plethora of friends who embodied some of the strangest characteristics of any franchise to come out of the '80s. He-Man's group included talking cats, floating specters, a dragon, and more.
Given that there have been hundreds of characters spread out in the many comic books, animated series, toy lines, and an ill-fated live-action feature film, it's hard for any fan to be able to identify everyone. Some characters wear their names on their sleeves, as they can be pretty descriptive of what makes them unique, but not all are like that.
