His Dark Materials: Where You Recognise The Cast From
15. David Suchet - Kaisa
Maybe if you imagine him with a little twirly moustache, you'll be able to recognise him?
David Suchet is known for Hercule Poirot, and Hercule Poirot is known for him. He played the Belgian detective for 24 years, but in true British style, that only encompasses 70 episodes. Still, it's a massive feat, and is what Suchet will forever be known for.
Kenneth Branagh recently played the character in Murder On The Orient Express, and despite winning a fair bit of praise, it was obvious that the role still belonged to Suchet. Poirot author Agatha Christie wasn't a huge fan of the detective though, once calling her own character a 'jumped up little Belgian', irritated at his popularity.
If by some miracle you recognise Suchet but not from Poirot, he's appeared in Doctor Who, Hidden, American Assassin and Decline And Fall these past few years, as well as playing Salvador Dali (complete with moustache) in Urban Myths.
