One of the main questions the show left hanging over itself at the end of Season 2 concerned what would now happen to a number of the show's fringe characters. With almost everyone forced to pick a side as the Walker presidency unravelled before them, some quickly found themselves batting for a losing team. One man who might just have kept his options open enough to survive was Remy Denton. Formerly Frank's press secretary before moving on to become Raymond Tusk's right hand man, Remy chopped and changed his allegiances in the final few episodes so many times that it's likely he doesn't even know whose side he was on. Frank's got a track record of punishing those who dare cross him, but in Denton he sees more than a faint reflection of himself. Ruthless, ambitious, and the exact man you'd want by your side in a pinch, Frank will be painfully aware of how valuable he could be as an ally if bridges can be rebuilt between the two. Baring a miraculous recovery for Doug, Frank is now short to the tune of one advisor, confidant, and righthand man, and candidates for a replacement are worryingly thin for him. Remy has proved that he can play the game on Frank's level and he has no issue with getting his hands dirty when the situation necessitates. Remy in the White House? Don't be surprised.
