8. The Press Will "Out" Frank
Frank Underwood's ascent to the White House now makes him, arguably, the most powerful individual on the face of the planet. It also makes him the most famous person in the entire world. His predecessor was brought down because there was a chink in his armour sufficient to expose a controversial area of his personal life to a curious committee, then an intrigued press, and finally an outraged public - Walker only had one small skeleton in his closet, Frank's is so full that most of his energy is spent simply keeping the doors closed. The lives of the Underwood's, past and present, are now going to be poked and prodded every day for the rest of his presidency. Whilst Frank's gone to incredible lengths to cover up the trivial things like murder, fraud and extortion, one loose end that seems to be dangling around unchecked relates to his extra-marital affairs with colleagues and former classmates. Meechum and Tim are uncontrollable elements, and it wouldn't be too difficult for a journalist to get to either of them. Frank isn't gay of course, in fact it's not clear where exactly he in on the sexuality spectrum, but if carrying on with an intern is enough to get a president impeached then the media fallout of finding out a married one secretly had same-sex relations would be one of the biggest scandals in American political history.
