While Frank and Claires plans to place Claire in the VP slot were pretty clever, they werent enough to fool Catherine Durant. Frank was going to have to bring out the big intimidation guns to stop her from sabotaging their plans. Well, he certainly didnt disappoint, although he may have taken it a little over the top. Its strange when he brings up his hallucination of Zoe and Russo, but when he then admits to killing them, everything seems to stop. It feels like in that moment, with the letter opener in hand, Frank is capable of anything. He laughs it all off, mercifully relieving the tension, only to ratchet back up again with a less than subtle threat. It doesnt do much to make yourself look less crazy by following I didnt really kill them with But Id totally kill you.
